Construction Supervisor

Duties and Responsibilities

• Monitoring construction processes, and providing training and team building sessions as required;
• Determining and allocating required resources, establishing protocols and standards, resolving design problems;
• Establishing methods to meet work schedules and coordinating work activities with other departments;
• Evaluating deadline estimates and adjusting as needed, and implementing change in order to keep the time line as agreed;
• Performing equipment, material, and routine site inspections and ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations at all times;
• Staying up-to-date with safety codes and advancements in construction sector;
• Meet operational standards by resolving problems, contributing information to strategic plans, and identifying improvements;
• Prepare and maintain documentation such as contracts, invoices, reports, orders, permits, and inspections;
• Resolving work problems and recommending measures to improve productivity and product quality;
• Scheduling regular meetings with vendors, site inspectors, managers, and staff
• Working directly with clients, supervising technical engineers and mentoring junior staff;
• Other tasks assigned by the supervisor

Requirements

Academic qualification

• BSc. degree in Water Engineering fields or Civil Engineering.
• Professional license/certification is a requirement.

Additional qualifications

• Able to communicate verbally and in written format to all organizational levels;
• Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
• Excellent organization and planning skills to prioritize and balance work;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, QGIS/GIS and Auto CAD;
• Physically able to conduct field studies.

Years of experience: 5+ years experience in the construction sector, specifically in water supply projects
